Student Dashboard User Guide

Welcome to your Student Dashboard! This guide will help you navigate and use all the features available to
manage your college club experience.
Getting Started

When you first load the dashboard, you’ll see:

  • Your Profile – Your student information and college details
  • College Information – Statistics about your school
  • Clubs Section – Browse and interact with clubs
  • Your Favorite Clubs – Quick access to clubs you’ve starred
  • Your Recent Reviews – Your latest club reviews
Search Options
  • Search Scope: Toggle between “Your School” and “All Schools” to browse clubs:
    ->Your School: Shows only clubs from your college

    ->All Schools: Browse clubs from all participating colleges (limit 250 results)

  • Search Bar: Type keywords to find specific clubs by name, category, or description
  • Filters:
    • Category Filter: Select a specific category (Academic, Sports, Arts, etc.)
    • Show Favorites Only: Check this box to see only your favorited clubs
    • Compact View: Toggle for a condensed view showing more clubs per page
  • Sort Options: Organize clubs by:
    • A-Z (alphabetical)
    • Highest Rated
    • Most Active
    • Most Reviews
    • Newest
View Club Details
  • Click on any club name or “View Details” button to see:
    • Full club description
    • Meeting times and location
    • Contact information
    • All reviews and ratings
    • Community notes and discussions
React to Clubs
  • Thumbs Up/Down: Share your quick opinion on clubs
  • Numbers show total reactions from all students
Favorite Clubs
  • Click the ⭐ star icon to add/remove clubs from your favorites
  • Favorited clubs appear in your “Favorite Clubs” sidebar for quick access
To Write a New Review:
    1. Click the “Write Review” button in your Recent Reviews section
    2. Select the club you want to review from the dropdown
    3. Add your review:
      • Title: Give your review a descriptive title
      • Comments: Share your detailed experience (minimum 10 characters)
      • Ratings: Rate the club on:
        • Atmosphere (1-5 stars)
        • Engagement (1-5 stars)
        • Leadership Opportunities (1-5 stars)
        • Skill Development (1-5 stars)
    4. Click “Submit Review”

Note: You can only write one review per club. Reviews can be edited until approved by the CCC quality control board

To Write a Community Note:
    1. Find the club that contains the review that you would like to leave a community note on and click the “View Details” button 
    2. At the bottom of the review details page, locate the review and click the blue “Notes”  icon with a number to access the community notes
    3. Leave your community note feedback:
      • Comments: Share your detailed experience (minimum 10 characters)
    4. Click “Submit Community Note”

Note: You can only write one community note per club.

View All Reviews
  • Click “View All Reviews” to see your complete review history
  • Reviews show:
    • Club name
    • Review title and rating
    • Submission date
    • Approval status (Approved/Pending)
    • Reaction counts
Edit Reviews
  • Click on any review title to view full details
  • If your review has not been approved, you see an “Edit” button
  • Make your changes and save
Suggesting New Clubs
If your club isn’t listed:
  1. Click the “Suggest A Club” button (green button at bottom of clubs list)
  2. Fill out the suggestion form:
    • Club Name (required)
    • Category (required)
    • Description (required)
    • Website (optional)
    • Contact Information (optional)
  3. Check the verification box
  4. Click “Submit Suggestion”

Your suggestion will be reviewed by administrators before being added.

From Other Schools
  • All Clubs show the school name in blue for easy identification
  • You can favorite these clubs but cannot review or react to them
  • These appear when browsing “All Schools”
Club Ratings
  • Green Badge (4.0+): Excellent rating
  • Yellow Badge (3.0-3.9): Good rating
  • Red Badge (Below 3.0): Needs improvement
Activity Indicators
    • Reviews Count: Number of detailed reviews
    • Thumbs Up/Down: Quick reactions from students
    • Chat Icon: Number of community notes/discussions
  • Use Compact View when browsing many clubs, especially “All Schools”
  • Star your favorite clubs for quick access later
  • Write detailed reviews to help other students
  • Check back regularly – new clubs and reviews are added frequently
  • Use filters and sort to find clubs that match your interests
  • Reviews not showing? Make sure you’re logged in with your student account
  • Can’t find a club? Try searching “All Schools” or suggest it to be added
  • Technical issues? Refresh the page or try a different browser
  • Write honest, constructive reviews
  • Be respectful in all interactions
  • Report any inappropriate content
  • Help build a positive community for all students
